How do you prepare for the MCAT?

How often do you study for & how often? Just curious!

1)Buy a prep book. Any brand is fine!!! It doesn't matter because the material will be very similar(in my opinion at least). Spend 3-4 hours a day reading them. Make sure you actually can understand all the concepts. Regurgitation is not good enough! Understanding is better than memorization.

2)Find all the full length tests (and the AAMC practice pack) you can get. when you are 3/4 way done with reviewing the material, start doing them. 1-2 tests per week and analyze every single answers(they usually give you explanations).

3)Plan out your practice test schedule so that you finish all the practice tests on or a week before your actual test.

5)profit. (take the actual test and score well!)

ps.make sure you have good research experience. it will help you greatly on the new MCAT because of the literature you will have to read.
