How low from the average GPA is considered a "decent" shot?

For example, if the average cum./sci. GPA is 3.5 for a specific school, is having a 3.4 GPA a good shot in applying to that school, considering that the school does not have preference for in-state students? How about 3.3.....? I have a solid DAT score (AA 25, TS 26), if that makes a difference. I'm now starting to consider which schools to apply and wanted to get a general range of schools at which I'd have a decent chance of getting interviews + acceptances.

You have a AA25. You'll be fine with a 3.3.

If schools ONLY looked at GPA and DAT, you are fine, a lot will depend on what else your application has to offer as well---EC's, volunteer hours, shadow hours, etc.
