How much did your app cycle cost you?

Almost $7K from MCAT prep to acceptances. applied to 24 schools, only flew to 2 interviews out of 10 attended, drove to most.

I applied to 14 DO schools:
Primaries: $650
Secondaries:$655 (Only 11 secondaries)
Subtotal: $1305

I applied 17 MD Schools:
Primaries: $752
Secondaries:$1385 (Only 15 secondaries)
Subtotal: $2137

I interviewed at 4 Schools:
1st school local (<15 miles): Basically $0
2nd school (~100 miles): Driving + 1 night hotel: ~$150
3rd School (~300 miles): Driving + 2 night hotel: ~$250
4th School (Cross Country): Airplane($400), food, car, stayed at friends house:~$600
Subtotal: ~$1000

Grandtotal: ~$4500

I applied early in the cycle but only received / chose to interview at four schools and I saved a lot of money by driving and lodging with friend. If you interview closer to 10 schools then you will probably pay closer to $6000.

Depends on the individual; however, I have spent close to $4,500. I spent roughly $2,500 on primaries and secondaries combined and then $2,000 between deposits and interview costs. I've had to turn down many interviews due to cost.

15 primaries complete: $0
12 secondaries complete: $0
8 IIs
Interview outfit: ~$180
Interview travel cost (estimated total cause I've only done half at this point): ~$50

Not too shabby

East Coast and FAP?

~$1,200 primary, ~$800 secondary, so far only one interview, it cost ~$150

My current spreadsheet tells me I've spent:

$2,900 on applications fees alone.

I have another tally which I've been keeping track of ALL expenses from this process (Kaplan prep course, MCAT fees, CASPer fees, additional credits at a local university, apps, interviews, etc....) and it's just about to tick over $12,000.....

My advice, have at least $5,000 saved for the applications themselves plus airline travel to at least 2-3 interviews.
