How much has neurosurgery changed in last 16 years?

Lets say skilled neurosurgeon went coma in year 2000 and woke up today. How hard time it would be for him to start practicing again? What are the biggest changes since year 2000? Or is it still pretty much the same than about 15 years ago?

EDIT: Theres typo in title, I meant 15 years but that probably doesn't really make any difference.

Yes, I agree. Continuously things are changing in each and every field; this is just because of the technology. As we all know how technology plays a crucial role in our life.
Definitely things has changed in neurosurgery as well and this been really a great achievement.
 
I'm not sure he'd be able to go back. We've made some pretty major strides, I don't know that you could start again after missing 15 years.
