At my school, the median grade for a class is listed next to one's grade in the class. I was wondering how schools use the information of median grades to evaluate grades. For example, would an A- in a class look better if the median is a B-, rather than an B+.

my guess is that they never see it until you send them your transcript as part of the matriculation process. Transcripts go to AMCAS for verification and the schools get the packet from them in a standardized format.

We don't see that type of info.

Your transcripts in AACOMAS (for me) or AMCAS format, your GPAs and your MCAT score. That's what we see.
