How to select a GPO

I'm getting ready to open up shop and buy supplies. There are a bunch of GPO options. The manufacturer (medline) even had one they recommend. My insurance carrier has their own they recommend. What are the key questions to ask or considerations to make? The price remains unknown, I'm not sure why. Does anyone know a guy who can look at all the GPO contracts and let me know which one offers the biggest discount?
