    how do u treat blackish gum discoloration due to metal prosthesis irritation?

    What kind of prosthesis? RPD? You're not talking about the metal collar of a PFM showing through the free gingiva, are you?

    Actually the process of mixing pain is very technique sensitive! It's hard for those guys at Home De-pot to get an exact match to the gum color! Don't try that at home!

    Remove the metal prosthesis to prevent further irritation?! and hope the gum will recover.
    if it's a amalgam tattoo then you have to surgically remove it. Tissue graft, do nothing (nonpathological) or spray pain will do.
