.... a Pharmaceutical company? If you had no experience outside of pharmacy; no sales/business experience, no pharmaceutics/research background, nothing, other than being a Pharmacist, how would you sell yourself? What positions within the company would you look for? What position do you is worthy of your expertise as a Pharm. D.? What do you think PharmDs bring to the table?

you wouldn't - you can try, but unless you have some sort of research, teaching exp, or connections in a MD office, you are going to have a hard time

Probably not going to happen...unless you've got an insider who can help move your application along.
Even then, pharma is a tough nut to crack, but once you are in, you are good.

Look into contract positions for medical information through recruiters on LinkedIn. Please note, there will be a big pay cut, but take one for the team if you want out of retail.

I would be careful of saying you are good - GSK just laid off 900 people here with more to come - many of them pharmacists

"Life expectancy" at any single pharma job is never long- you are one merger or product recall away from being laid off. However, prior experience in pharma is the gateway to the next pharma job...so once you are in, you are good [enough to land a pharma job somewhere else].

gotcha - very different than saying you are set in your particular job
