Alright so here we go.

Kinesiology Major

3.75 cGpa
3.61 sGpa

-Played varsity football for 2 years (Quarterback, Division 2)
~100 hours volunteering in neurotrama/pulmonary units
~80 hours volunteering at an inner-city soup kitchen
-90 hours of shadowing
-1 season as a volunteer flag football coach at an inner-city school
- 2 major research projects (1 still underway)
-Involved in various clubs over the last few years (Cru Bible study, Health Professionals Association, etc.)
-5 LOR (Committee, 2 science, 1 non, 1 DO)
-Worked 20-40 hours a week depending on the season

ONLY applying to DO Schools!

Taking the MCAT in may which I'm told will be very hard to evaluate until the distribution is established.

How am I looking so far?

I would suggest applying to MD if you scored 28+ on MCAT.
 
you've got a good shot at DO if you get 50th percentile or above on the new MCAT
 
If you can score a 507 or above, you should have an excellent shot at MD.
 
Again, only applying to DO schools. Nothing against MD schools or the MD philosophy, I just think I can relate more to the osteopathic mentality. Michigan resident. Any advice on out of state schools to apply to? Probably capping the number at about 12. Any input is appreciated!

MSU has a great DO program, as long as you don't bomb the MCAT i'd be shocked if you didn't get an interview there

MSU is top on the list! Lots of connection to the school so that would be a cool place to end up. Thanks for the input!
