All Branch Topic (ABT) HPSP right for me?

I was always interested in joining the military and was wondering if this program would be a good idea for me. I understand that residency has to be done with whatever branch you signed up for but is the quality of the residency comparable to civilian ones? Or does it vary by specialty? After you exit the military, will the fact that you did a military residency be looked at the same as a civilian one?
