Quick question on LOR: where do I find letter ID, and do signatures have to be hand written?

I browsed the web, but it seems my googlefu is weak!

I'm not sure how it is currently, but in the past the letter ID would be generated when you add a LOR to AMCAS. You would then be able to print out an AMCAS form which includes the letter ID and should be submitted with the letter to AMCAS.

I don't know about the signatures, but this (and your other question) should be answerable using the AMCAS manual: https://www.aamc.org/students/download/182162/data/amcas_instruction_manual.pdf.
