Im currently proof reading my essays/supplemental questions for PTCAS and on one of my essays I said I would like to specialize in Wound Care. But readin the APTA website, it doesn't have wound/burn care as a specialty area. Then looking at the sticky it has more than the 8 or 9 APTA has on their website including animal rehab. Would this fall under Clinical Electrophysiology? Please be sure so I wont look/sound ridiculous when writing about it for my essays.

The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties does not offer board certification in wound care. Some modalities are used in wound care, but this would not typically fall under the Electrophysiology clinical Specialist practice area. It sounds like you are talking about the Clinical Wound Care Specialist (CWS). This is issued by the American Academy of Wound Management:

I just started a job as a Rehab tech and our PTs do wound care. I had no idea that Pts did that so I am really new to the idea but I'll tell you what little I know. At least at the place that I specifically work at, the PTs are not certified/specialized in any way regarding wound care. The PT told me that any PT could do it, they would just need the proper training and practice. Therefore, I'm really not sure what "specialty" it would fall under.

Don't know how true all of the above is-not saying the PT was wrong, I just may have misunderstood as the whole concept is basically foregin to me. I would maybe try to speak to someone who does wound care? I'm assuming you know/observed someone if you are interested in it. That individual would be the most accurate (I would think!).
