Informal Post bac - Open University Registering for classes

Hi, for those of you who did an informal post bac through open university such as in a state college, how were you guys able to get classes with you being the least priority to enroll ( pretty much can only enroll when classes start). How were you guys able to enroll in classes when everything is filled up. I am trying to do an informal post bac but there seems to be no luck of enrolling, so any advice would help. Thank you in advance.

You can probably contact the professor ahead of time and find out the odds of there being space available. If it is one of those classes that everyone in that degree program must take or it is rarely offered, chances are it'll fill up quickly and there won't be many drops.
