Hey,

This is rather a very confusing topic. Can anyone please elaborate and just sum up everything related to Insulin/DM medication adjustments in:

-Preop
-Postop
-Inhospital admission
-During Labor
-During Cesarian Sect
-Any other special requirements

When to use Basal bolus, or when to use sliding scale or infusions etc. This will surely help a lot.

Also, somewhere it says u should decrease the dose by 1/3rd, in some places it says only stick to Fingerglucose and subq insulin. AHHHH! Its confusing as hell!
