Hi I'm an American studying medicine abroad in Bangladesh. I'm currently in my final year and wanted to know if its better for me to come back to the USA immediately after graduation and clear my steps or if I should stay an extra year here, clear my internship and then go. Would an internship here, besides adding to experience, really be of any value to me when I apply for my residency or would I just be wasting my time? Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks

Not wasting your time but generally US clinical experience is better than an intern year abroad. There are house staff positions in the US (not residency track) that gives you amazing US clinical experience.
