I just wanted to know can MD graduate apply for TRI?

And is it program's choice to match MD to their DO post? or is it strictly for DO to apply for these spots?

Because I have noticed some MD programs do accept DO applications, is this right and vice versa to DO internships or traditional rotation internship programs ?

No. MD grads can't apply for TRI or any other AOA spots.

As said above, MD grads cannot apply for DO programs because they don't have a background in OMM. DO TRIs require OMM.

Although with the ACGME/AOA merger, by 2020 MDs will be allowed to apply to osteopathic programs. So the day when this will be possible is coming.
