Virginia iSpine Physicians, PC

Interventional Spine Physiatry Fellowship 2017 Position

In 2011, Virginia iSpine Physicians established an accomplished, non-ACGME accredited, Interventional Spine Care Fellowship in Richmond, VA. Our program trains Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residents in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of painful spine and musculoskeletal disorders. Fellows learn how to effectively treat patients and how to develop an efficient private practice. Virginia iSpine Physicians is the only private practice fellowship in Virginia but has a robust clinical research infrastructure. Fellows serve as sub-investigators on various clinical studies such as intradiscal biologics and percutaneous lumbar decompression. Fellows receive hands-on training in a variety of fluoroscopically guided cervical, thoracic, and lumbosacral procedures such as: epidurals, medial branch blocks/neurotomy, discography, intradiscal heating procedures, percutaneous discectomy, percutaneous augmentation, spinal cord stimulation, and cooled radiofrequency ablation. In addition, fellows are exposed to proper billing and coding, practice management, contracting, employment law, and the essentials to developing a successful interventional practice. We have an in-office procedure suite and perform cases at a free-standing ASC as well as at a hospital based ASC. Our practice is expanding and fellows will have an exciting opportunity to stay onboard with Virginia iSpine Physicians after graduation.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive salary
  • Health and Dental insurance
  • Conference time and educational allowance
  • Didactic sessions
  • Opportunity to write and publish and participate in innovative research
  • Learning the skills necessary to thrive in a high volume Interventional Spine private practice
Physicians who are in good standing in a clinical American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are eligible to apply. Start dates are typically mid-summer and we are currently interviewing for the 2017 position. Please contact us directly via [email protected].
