Technology iPad Functionality in Medical School

I was wondering what people thought about using an iPad to study with, being able to compile all your powerpoints and scribe notes in something this portable that you could open up and use literally anywhere seems like a great thing.

I was considering using it as a way to open up these items while typing notes on a laptop. The possible use of of textbooks on it could be a nice compliment.

Any thoughts?

I'm wondering the same thing, but using it entirely for taking notes and everything else, since you can have that keyboard dock attachment. I'm just not sure if its worth buying in addition to already owning a laptop.

A usb tablet + word is a significantly cheaper solution.
You can buy a scanner and have plenty of money left over.
