Hey
I was wondering if a keto enol tautomerization is an oxidation reduction reaction?
Is the ketone being reduced to an enol because it has one less bond to oxygen?

There is no net gain/loss of electrons so it is neither an oxidation nor a reduction.

I would say it's an acid/base catalyzed tautomerization reaction.

It can be broken up into steps that are individually acid/base reactions.
