...to not have a LOR from a research professors you have been working on for 1.0 years. He is a kind of a research scientist who look down on student entering professional care related. I told him that i would go for research when i first enter the field but after working there, stuck in the lab for a whole day with no people interaction really kills my interested.
He always persuade me to enter research. So should i ask him for LOR?

why not, the worst you can have is somewhat of a tense dynamic between you and the prof. If you are leaving within a year to go to dental school, i don't think it really matters.
