Yes, residency and I am from India. From the knowledge I gathered from some of the forums here, language is a very important factor and then there are the inevitable screening tests, which is everywhere. But it still beats the sophisticated US system, I guess. Don't know if IMED recognition is important in EU. If you can pass on any info, I'll be much obliged.
I'm not really sure actually, what I do know is each country is different and each country has language requirements. I heard Germany is a popular place for Indian graduates recently.
