Hey guys,

I'm creating this thread so that people who took the MCAT on Jan. 28th or 29th can vote and even post details about their scores and what they think about the practice exams.

The purpose of this thread is to help the people who are taking the test later this year.

I'm borrowing the poll format from the thread created by Omni in 2009

Averaged 35-39, with a decent split although verbal being my lowest.

Real thing: 13PS, 7V, 13BS, Total = 33R

Still having trouble deciding whether to retake

AAMC is predictive but not reflective in my opinion. Then again, most people use outside material that is probably more reflective of the MCAT than AAMC tests.

34Q (12ps, 10vr, 12bs) on real thing.

Average of AAMC's was 33.88
AAMC 3 12/26/2010 - 37 (13ps, 9vr,15bs)
AAMC 4 1/3/2011 - 29 (10ps, 9vr, 10 bs)
AAMC 5 1/6/2011 - 36 (13ps, 11vr, 12bs)
AAMC 7 1/13/2011 - 33 (12ps, 8vr, 13bs)
AAMC 8 1/15/2011 - 33 (12ps, 8vr, 13bs)
AAMC 9 1/18/2011 - 33 (12ps, 9vr, 12bs)
AAMC 10 1/22/2011 35 (12ps, 10vr, 13bs)
AAMC 11 1/26/2011 34 (13ps, 9vr, 12bs)

I thought AAMC 11 was spot on. It really refected the direction the MCAT writers are going with the exam: heavy on biochem and classic genetics and little physio that only shows up in some discrete and psuedo disceretes with very little orgo (one passage and maybe 2 discretes). You need to be able to tear apart complex passages (especially biochem passages)

So, my test is exactly a month away, and I've taken AAMC 3 and 4 only so far, but did well, a 39 and a 43 respectively. I still don't feel ready though and feel these might be fluke scores, especially if they no longer reflect the real test. Can I relax a bit, or will I really have no idea until I take 10 and 11?

Why don't you just take 10 or 11 now? They don't have to be taken in order...

i boned the MCAT july of 2013, and i'll chip in

my AAMC averages ranged from a 30 to a 35 (forgot the specifics)

i got a 35 on the real deal, 11PS 15VR 9BS

i slightly over-performed in PS, under-performed in BS, and had Jesus visit me during VR
