So I'm a few months from graduation and not staying in academics. I'll be pretty far removed from formal medical education. What journals do you guys subscribe to and regularly read to stay current?

The only time I'll read an anesthesia journal is if I'm suffering from insomnia. Reading one of those is better than an Ambien.

I disagree somewhat. In practice, I think it's worth at least thumbing through the major journals every month to see if there's anything relevant to you. Sometimes there isn't, often there is. With smartphone access it's really easy.

But I've often said- I learn more from this site then I ever have reading a journal.

I use read by qxmd and subscribe. Gets some articles and easy to follow.

I read our journals often and recommend you do the same:

1. Anesthesia and Analgesia
2. Anesthesiology
3. Regional Anesthesia
4. Subspecialty Journal like Critical Care
5. SDN

A+A is relatively cheap, and typically has some good articles. Easy CME too.
