Licensing in Different States

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience (good/bad) trying to get their license in counseling a different state than where you obtained your degree...
More specifically, I am interested in the preliminary license (LPC in some states, temp license in others, etc.) and around the Midwest--I have heard Ohio and Indiana have more specific laws if you did not graduate from there.

The ACA has a list of every state and their licensure requirements. You might have to be a member to see it, but student memberships are quite reasonable and you also get a discount on liability insurance when you join.
