So this is something I have been wondering for a while... it isn't a make-or-break issue for me just curious. But what is life like outside of dental school? I hear about people getting married and stuff while in school... but how? Also how does one make enough money to support them self through school? I feel like dental school is too rigorous to be working, or going out and getting married, etc.

It's just like your perception of the transition into undergrad from high school. You think it's super hard before entering but with wise planning and organization, you'll make time for a social life.

Most people are using loan money to support themselves.

You might not be able to hold a full time job but many are able to babysit or tutor on the side. Indeed, dental school is rigorous but it gets easier once you adjust to the lifestyle.

Ask some dental students. Most everyone on the predental forum is PREdental.
