Hey guys. I interviewed at LIU's Brooklyn campus for the Clinical Psychology PhD program. I was rejected from the PhD, but accepted into the master program.

Does anyone know anything about the program, the chances of masters students of later getting into the PhD program, how much time is reduced from the PhD program by having completed the masters? Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If you get an offer for a (decent) doctoral program elsewhere, I would take it. There is no guarantee of advancing from their MA program to their Ph.D. program and, while I can't speak for the LIU-Brooklyn program specifically, I will say that I've heard from students in similar situations in other programs that the intense competition among the MA students hoping to get into the Ph.D. program can have a detrimental effect on the learning environment.
