I've heard of loan repayment programs for FP that you can join while in med school that will pay your tuition if you work in a rural area when you're done. But are other loan repayment programs out there? I wasn't one of the lucky ones who knew what they were going to do before they started school, so I wasn't able to sign up. But now I want to go into FP and have accumulated $250,000 in loans. Someone was telling me they thought there were similiar programs you could join while in residency, but I have no clue what they are. Also are there any other options besides these loan repayment programs? I don't expect for someone to repay all my loans but any help I would grately appreciate, bc we all know FP doesn't make that much money to start off with.
