Sorry for another loupe thread
So I'm currently a 3rd yr Dental Student and I'm looking to buy some loupes!
Now I'm not sure which magnification should I go with. I can see a lot of ppl go with 2.5x at first but end up taking 3.5x as they need more magnification.
Do you think a 3.0x would be a nice compromise between depth of field and mag?
Currently I'm trying to choose between Surgitel TTL Ultralight 3.0x or Micro prism/gallilean 3.5x vs Orascoptic's TTL Hi Res plus 3L(3.3x). Anyone have any experience with these? Are Surgitel and Orascoptic similar in terms of quality and service?
I'll probably use it for just the usual restoration, plus endo and crown preps that're coming up don't think I'll need loupes for prophy though.
Sadly I'm in New Zealand so DFV 3.5x Extended field is out of the question. For some reason their dealer here is grossly overpriced.
Thanks!
