I dont have any real advice for you but im also a DO student looking into Anesthesia and have been collecting some data.

Here is the most recent AOA data if you haven't seen it (2014):

Total Positions: 30; Applicants per position: 1.77; Mean level 1: 523; Mean level 2: 550

That's all I had written down.

Take the USMLE. Allopathic programs could care less about the COMLEX.

Almost all allopathic programs will want Step scores, if that's what you're going for. Can't comment about osteopathic, but those programs haven't gotten very good reviews on this forum.

tbh you're facing a little bit of an uphill battle but not insurmountable...
DO programs really focus strongly on audition rotations.
Rotate where you want to go, do well, and you'll have a shot
