mail order pharmacy

i thought mail order pharmacy are like MTM, but now im thinking they're filling scripts like retail? at one point the guy was transferring a script over for a thiazide and noted patient allergy to sulfa. i pointed it out on the spot that patient has sulfa allergy n he didnt even seem to notice. just the other day i called another mail order to transfer sinemet 25/100. the pharmacy was like 2 tabs q3hours daily. i told her its an excessive dose? she's like 'oh its just a refill.' im thinking they're just verifying scripts blindly just like a busy retail pharmacist! how busy are they?

Mail order pharmacy is NOTHING like MTM. It's like a chain but without patients coming in...not sure where you got the idea it has similarity to MTM as you wouldn't ever meet your patients in a mail order pharmacy.
