I'm in university lol, my personal info is fake just saying

Do petroleum or chemical engineering + MBA. My hair is turning gray and I'm starting to lose some vision, I don't think any of the medical fields are quite worth it anymore. Do engineering and get very good grades! Business degrees will only bring you success if you graduate from a top school. If you do either of these things you will have the opportunity to make as much as a dental specialist or more, with half the grief. Also, its really not how much money you make, but how you invest and save that money.

+1.

I will be entering dental school and unfortunately I agree with what you said. Fracking is taking off in America and petroleum/chem engineers are doing great ($120k+). Computer engineering is good if you like coding and stuff (google pays $100k+ with great benefits). After engineering, if you get your MBA your salary goes up even more. All white-collar health-service careers (dent, pharm, med, and even law, etc) suck due to decreased reimbursement, oversaturation, too much regulation, student debt, and insurance problems. I always knew dentistry would be going bad, but I never expected it to get so bad so quickly (so many schools/fake residencies (like LMC) have opened up, and so many different chains are rapidly expanding in so many different areas). And on top of that the mid-levels seem to be gaining more and more power.

engineers dont make great money any more. Most engineers cant even find jobs and even if they do, they get laid of in the 40's or late 30's before they even reach management so... health ftw
