Masters Abroad

I was just wondering, I am interested in doing my masters abroad. Is it a good idea to do my masters abroad but come back to the states for my doctoral?. Or should I just aim to complete both here in the states.

If you want to work within the mental health care system in the US, makes sense to train within it, right. It's a tad bit "unique".
