Masters of Biomedical Sciences at Barry

Hey guys,
I am currently in the process of finishing my application for the Barry masters program that would start in the Fall of 2014. I was hoping for people who have either graduated from the program or others in the same boat could comment on the few questions I had. First, here are my stats from AADSAS,

Overall GPA, 3.14
BCP, 3.06
DAT: AA: 19, TS: 18, PA: 22).

I will have two solid letters of recommendation from science professors.

1) What are my chances in the 1 year Barry program? Am I applying too late?
2) Should I still apply to dental school this coming June, assuming I get in the masters program?
3) How did you pay for the program?

I realize that some of these questions have already been answered in other threads and I assure you I have read all of them. I am just looking for more info regarding my situation specifically.

I was in the same Masters program but in a different school. To answer ur questions:
1) I got in the program with a really low GPA so I don't think u should worry about urs. Plus few of my classmates got in with a 3.0. These kind of programs are meant for you to boost ur GPA.
2) A couple ppl in my class applied to dental school before getting in the program and actually got accepted. I just don't understand why they applied to the masters program at the same time as they applied for dental school. It is doable though. I needed to boost my gpa before applying to dental school so I couldn't do that.

Thank you for your input! If you don't mind me asking, what program did you attend and when did you graduate? Are you enrolled in dental school now?

I attended the Rutgers program. Graduating this may and I did get accepted to their dental school. Enrolling this Fall.

Congratulations! That is awesome. I definitely plan on doing some type of program like this. I just want to make sure the investment and moving from Michigan is worth it, since reading mixed reviews on the program at Barry university.
