Hi everyone,
I'm in a situation that many people find themselves in, and need advice as soon as possible since deadlines are approaching. I didn't receive acceptances to the social PhD programs I applied to, so now I'm looking towards masters programs that have a high transfer rate to a doctoral route. I also need to apply for programs with a March 15th deadline or later. My question: which masters programs are regarded as the "top" graduate programs in the country, with a deadline for March 15th >?
Typically, what do applicants do if they do not get accepted? Are masters programs advisable? I know continuing to work in a lab and trying to get more research experience is preferred, but how about other options if one doesn't want to spend another year doing the same things in lab in order to possibly receive a publication? So far, I don't think my application will differ that much, considering I'm still working in the same lab doing the same things..
Thanks for all of your help-- I really appreciate it as I'm crunched for time and wary about the future..
