I'm thinking about applying to podiatry school, hopefully maybe get a scholarship? I graduated with a 3.79 gpa. I took the MCAT back in April and got a 493. Not the greatest I know… but since the mcat 2015 is so new, I was wondering what people's opinions were on those stats. I also have 150+ hours of community service and 100+ hours of healthcare provider shadowing… as well as some leadership experiences…. Any opinions/advice appreciated. Thanks

My understanding is 500 is a 50% median score?? So 493 would be in the old 25 MCAT range, while 508 is the old 30.

I would apply with those stats if you're sure about podiatry.

You're MCAT score is probably more in the range if 19-20, but either way you're probably good

Ok, so I found a link showing the old mcat percentiles and my mcat score percentile is equivalent to an old score of 22. So I think I should be good. Thanks for the help
