I'm looking at either taking the MCAT in September or October (applying Osteopathic this cycle). Assuming that my primaries are all completed, does it really matter? It's getting into crunch time I know, but I really don't have a choice (have to finish some science classes in the early summer). Any opinions? Thanks!

If you have a high GPA and relatively high MCAT, you should be fine. But generally, you want to have everything ready and submitted by the end of July. Anything after July is considered late and could hurt your chances of getting in since schools accept students on a rolling basis. I believe osteopathic schools have a later primary application deadline compared to allopathic schools. Allopathic schools deadline is November, while Osteo is sometime in February (for most schools).
