mcat organic section

When studying for the MCAT, I came across the section on Identification of organic compounds. Are we responsible for the IR values of all the functional groups and the NMR values of all the different groups too? Or are they given to us in the passages?

Know the basic principles but don't memorize every detail. Some NMR, IR is on the test, but the MCAT isn't about memorization of every value for every molecule
