MCAT Study Time

Hi all,

Quick question about my current MCAT study plan. I plan on taking the MCAT next May but will have this fall semester to start studying. Should I begin studying in August/September or just focus on ECs like shadowing or volunteering at a primary care clinic for the fall and then start MCAT prep in January?
