I have about 2 years of research in a science discipline (first 2 years of college), and then another 2 years in a non-science discipline (last 2 years of college), which was more influential for me, and I have pubs/posters from it.

I also did a summer research program at Wake Forest, which was sort of like a lab rotation where I got insight into the career of many different MSTP grads.

In the end, I would far prefer MD/PhD to MD. But, I'm not sure if MSTP's will field my application knowing I have a primarily non-science background.

I'm a little confused.

Are you saying you are interested in pursuing a non-science PhD because you had a good experience in non-science research?

Or are you saying that you want to do a science PhD and aren't sure if your research experience is enough?
