From the AMCAS calculation:

3.5 BCPM GPA
3.8 All Other
3.55 Total
3.28 Graduate GPA
4.0 post-bacc (accredited Medical technologist certificate program)

I am a 30-something year old non-trad applicant.
I did have some academic difficulties freshman year (only took ~2.5 years to complete the bachelors with alot of AP credits. so not a forgiving time period to pad the science GPA with re-takes and whatnot that also costs extra $$.)

alot of research
2 publications

working as a med tech now at a reference lab.

applied last year, but didn't have alot of time to fill out the apps.
so the secondaries and essays all came out pretty craptacular.
(alot of mandatory overtime and rotating shifts :wacky:-there IS a Med Tech shortage!!!)

also, did not have clinical volunteering/shadowing.
had non-clinical, though they seemed to have considered those hours a bit "old"

started more nonclinical and clinical volunteering and shadowing last March/April.
about 3 or 4 hours a week volunteering.

Got about 50hrs shadowing and a letter from one of the docs.

reapplied MD

You need to apply to more schools (this week) to maximize your chances for interviews. If you are a Florida resident apply to ALL the Florida schools and add these OOS schools:
Quinnipiac
Hofstra
New York Medical College
Albany
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
GW
Georgetown
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Loyola
Rosalind Franklin
St. Louis
Creighton
Tulane
Submit all those secondaries by the end of July.
Also consider applying to the 2 Florida DO schools.

@Faha Thank you for the advice, Dr. Faha.

It's not too late in the year for those DO schools?
I was considering if nothing happened this year, to give one last try to only DO schools next year before my MCAT expires.

It is not too late to apply to DO schools and you could add all those MD schools for this cycle but try to submit the secondaries by the end of this month. You might as well apply broadly to DO schools this month also so you do not delay your medical career by another year. Other DO schools you could apply to are:
ACOM
WCU-COM
GA-PCOM
VCOM (all 3 schools)
CUSOM
UP-KYCOM
LMU-DCOM
WVSOM
MU-COM
With your MCAT score you are competitive for all DO schools.
