Which medical schools would consider your graduate GPA a better reflection of your overall application than your undergrad GPA or weigh your graduate GPA slightly more than your undergraduate GPA compared to other schools?

Graduate GPA meaning from an SMP

I know this old, but just to answer for others looking, I think all medical schools will look at SMP grades greatly and more than non-SMP graduate grades.

There are a lot of USMD schools who'll throw out your app when they see a low undergrad GPA, even if you have a 4.0 from an SMP. A low UG GPA brings their average stats down, and they have reputations to maintain. Pretty much all DO schools will put more emphasis on your graduate GPA.

My friends who got into USMD schools, with terrible undergrad GPAs/great graduate GPAs, went to the following schools:

Temple
Case Western
BU
Indiana University
Drexel
Rutgers NJMS (was in state)
Albert Einstein
Albany
Duke (though this guy was a serious rockstar and URM)

Not all school reward reinvention, but there are a fain number that do.

They include:
Your state schools
BU
Tulane
Drexel
Albany
NYMC
Tufts
Duke
UCSF
Columbia
Mayo
Pitt
Case
Dartmouth
U Miami
Rosy F
EVMS
Wake
Loyola
Any DO school

In general, the Albany/Drexel class schools are more forgiving than the research powerhouses and the stats ******.

A great SMP GPA (#.7+) need to have a great MCAT score as well (510-513+)
