I am amounting to nothing
Judging by how you are speaking to individuals on this thread, I'm not so certain that adcoms will even go through your PS *assuming* you aren't automatically rejected because of your red flags. Your grammar is terrible, your attitude is even worse, and your narcissism is absolutely unbelievable. Even if, in some alternate universe, you received one interview invite, I'd imagine that you'd be kicked out of the door within the first minute due to your cockiness and statements such as "based on my VR score I'm going to smoke the boards."
Also, being born into unfortunate circumstances has nothing to do with the choices you make as an adult. Boo-hoo. I was born into extremely harsh circumstances, too, and did not let the things that happened to me affect me in any way as an adult. You
choose the
choices that you make. You
choose to be the person who destroyed you as a child, or you don't. It's as simple as that. If you're interested in pursuing a career in medicine, you should already know that. Let's say you were a doctor (in another alternate universe), and an infant came in the ER with SBS. Would you say, "Oh, the parent(s) lost just by being born?" No. The parents made a terrible
choice, and it had nothing to do with their upbringing. This is the same with your
"""""""crime""""""""" and IA. You
chose, and you will face the
consequences. Now, if your grief is so severe that it actually affected your state of mind, and led to these poor decisions, you shouldn't even be trying to become a doctor and should be SEEING one instead.
The fact is that you have a concerning IA (as indicated in your post where you said they will not see it as a "kids will be kids" thing) and a misdemeanor. You shouldn't have ANY of these. It's as easy as
making good choices. Now, I'm not a doctor as of yet. However, from what I've been hearing, being a
good doctor is about
making good choices.
You are nowhere near making good
choices. And until you learn to do just that, you certainly
will amount to absolutely nothing.
Sorry guys for the rant, but it frustrates me when people try to use their past as an excuse for their own poor choices. There are some people out there who vow to use their past as an excuse to make good choices.
