Hello, sorry for such question maybe I'm a kind of obsessed i don't know ... but please help me !
I'm a medicine student, last week i was doing palpation on abdomen of a patient with hepatitis c then i noticed that the patient had on her abdomen a blue coloured circle caused by some old skin hematoma, and i palpated her at that place also but it was dried , no blood was there (the palpation was deep with the tops of my fingers and also percussion), then after i finished i washed my hands normally but not so much then i came back home and i applied cream on my face then i remembered that i touched the patient with the same hand , so i'm afraid what if the virus survived under my nails (was not washed by water) and then transfered by the cream and fingertips to my face acnes or sratches .
please tell me is there any possibility of getting infected ?
can touching an old skin hematoma of such patient transfer the virus to the fingers ?
