I haven't. One of us should call tomorrow to see what's up but I think they may pull some more people off Friday. Just noticing the trend...

No, I haven't seen anyone on fb mention about withdrawing recently. I hope all top 10% waitlisters will hear a good news soon.
 
I hear that wait list movement has been deadlocked at most other schools this year. Luckily, I was offered a post-bacc position at my top school with guaranteed acceptance for next year. I hope everyone else has something lined up for this upcoming year.

Congrats Queen and yea from what ive read, this year the waitlist movement has been very slow. I'm applying to different grad programs incase it doesn't pan out this year.
 
Well everyone will know their status by the end of the week...when I contacted the admissions office a couple of weeks ago they said June 15th will be the last day they contact applicants.

Really! Well I hope there's good news coming since the past cycles have had alot if acceptances around June 15.

Hey peeps............Welp.........I emailed Mr. Lee today, the director of admissions, and asked if we should be hitting the panic button yet. He said as of now, the class is full and that they are waiting for people to give up their seats...He said it is an atypical year in regards to not having that much wait-list movement. He also said that although our email said June 15th, that we really have until June 24th, the first day of classes, to hear something. I feel kinda numb....Glad I know what's going on though.

So when he said that they are waiting to give up their seat, does that mean that there are still people with more than 1 acceptances?

That's very possible. It could be any reason. Some people may not be prepared to move in such little time. Some may have multiple acceptances. Some could be waiting to hear from other schools as well. That is what I assume he meant (all of the above).

Thanks Doc Hunter. Any suggestions on apartments because I have 1 week to move my entire life?
 
A member on our Facebook group is withdrawing their seat as of today. The person was just accepted of the wait list of their number one choice.

There is still hope and time. My last email from Meharry in regards to orientation boldly stated that if you miss orientation, your spot will be given up.

Thanks for the info. When is orientation?
 
My email says I am suppose to be at Meharry Sunday the 23rd at 12pm. They titled it pre-orientation. Then orientation begins 7:30am Monday the 24th. MAPS starts Friday the 28th according to the correspondence from Meharry. Hope this helps!
