As part of my surgery rotation, I get to spend 2 weeks in urology. I'd love some advice on some bread-and-butter anatomy and procedures to study beforehand. Also, any resources for info would be great.

Wow lots of views no replies. If you don't want to get a text just go through the anatomy. Then learn kidney medicine. Do not focus on electrolytes, that's nephrology. Things like why stones form. What they're made of. What happens medically when there's an obstruction. Learn the significance of psa and when it's worrisome. Learn the 5a inhibitors, alpha blockers, etc. Basically, learn about stones, bph, prostate cancer and whatever else they tell you to learn. For a text smiths general is good but awfully long for two weeks. Maybe one of the house officer books.

Also, be cool....urologists are cool.

I'm typing this on the pot in the hospital so I'd it doesn't make sense... Well.... Too bad
