My chances? based on my stats

Hi all,

I'm an incoming senior at Ohio State. I am taking a gap year between graduation and medical school, but was wondering my foundation so far. I have a cGPA of 3.592 and a sGPA of 3.925. By the end of senior year, I hope to raise it to a 3.69. Is this competitive enough? I am currently studying for the MCAT. I have been doing research for a year and a half now, and have been volunteering for what will be 3 years. I also volunteered in Africa for 3 weeks.

Your stats are fine. Concentrate on the MCAT as your GPA is meaningless without them.

I would head over to the MCAT forums (http://forums.studentdoctor.net/forums/mcat-discussions.31/) and have a look around there! They can probably give you much better (and more up to date) advice than I can.
