Just came across an interesting article. http://www.newsweek.com/ugly-civil-war-american-medicine-312662

Has anyone gone this route for re-certification? Are hospitals/groups accepting this certification instead of ABEM certification?

FWIW, this certification has been around for about 15 minutes so nobody can really answer this question for you. I think it's an interesting thing, particularly with the recent ABIM MOC kefuffle and I'm going to watch it closely...might even throw them the $170 as a show of solidarity.

But I'm not betting my livelihood on it just yet.

I don't know of any, but it's time Maintenance of Extortion ends. It's just that: A profit driven way to twist you by the n--s, and give you no they choice, ON TOP OF state license required CME.

"Pay us $2,000 or lose your job."

It's criminal. Unless your double board certified like me. Then it's 2 x criminal.
