Does anyone know how competetive it is to get a navy anesthesia residency these days. Also...how long of a GMO is required to get the spots. Also...does anyone know if you are allowed to leave your GMO tour early if you are accepted for a naval residency??

Any insight will be greatly appreciated

I, too, would like to hear more about Navy Anesthesiology programs. Anyone have information to answer mpatel's questions?

Class of 2003 from NMCSD had one person match right out of internship (ex-NFO).
We had another match for 2004 being out for 1 year, and deployed for 8 months of that time. Transitional intern.
