hi everyone. can anybody suggest good medical schools in california (particularly near torrance), or nearby states, which are lenient in screening international students? coz i heard that almost all medical schools in california are strict in screening applicants from other countries. btw, im a pre medical student from the philippines.

also, i dont think that my general weighted average (equivalent to GPA in the US, i think) is competitive enough to get accepted in the best medical schools in the US. can anybody cite some schools which do not require very high grades/GPA (but still offer quality education)? im not very particular on the tuition/matriculation fees because luckily, i have a relative who is willing to pay for my education.

any information would be appreciated.

thanks a lot guys.

Here's most of the California medical schools. As far as average GPA/MCAT of matriculants, you'll have to get a copy of MSAR:

All of the UC schools are pretty tough to get into out of state. Your best bet is probably Loma Linda or USC
