Hello everyone,

This is my first post here in Neurology SDN. As I look forward to start my Neurology residency, I would like to learn and contribute in this forum which is one of the best out there on the web.

I am creating this thread to make a list of Societies/Association and Journals, organized into categories, namely General Neurology, General Medicine, Neuroscience, Science, Education/Research and various neurological sub-specialties.

- This list should be relevant and helpful to anyone interested/involved in neurological sciences, namely medical students, PhD students, residents, postdocs, fellows and attendings.

- This list is meant to be a comprehensive, organized, crowd-sourced, updated and easy to navigate source of information from which you can choose based on your needs.

This is a work in progress and I will keep adding names and web links from my collection and based on your feedback in coming days. The list is in no particular order (alphabetical, importance or impact factor) but I will try to keep it categorized so that it is easy to follow.

Your input is really important. Please contribute. I will make additions/modifications based on your feedback.

Please don't quote my post when you reply. It makes the thread difficult to read.

I think this is a great idea. I have a couple of suggestions:
(1) Consider having the moderator post this to the top as a sticky, as people will likely want easy access to it instead of having to search old posts.
(2) Consider listing the journals in order of their impact factor (where applicable), otherwise residents might waste their time reading the green journal when they'd be much better served reading Lancet Neurology and Annals. Most journals publish their impact factor on their main web page. I like how you've broken them down by topic, just consider reordering within each topic.

Have already requested Mods to do so.

I didn't do it deliberately for many reasons. First, Impact factor is a messy game. Some people believe it, others don't (or even hate). Second, IF keeps changing

Well, that's the point. It can be kept updated and comprehensive if it is crowd-sourced. I am myself learning about so many new things while searching. I look forward to learn more when other members give their inputs.

I also plan to add other threads on books and web-resources when I complete this list to significant extent.

Please do give your inputs in general and specific to your sub-specialty.
